Headquartered in Austin, the Texas Library Association offers a wide range of
activities and services from awards to scholarships, from reading incentive programs
to leadership opportunities in the TALL Texans Leadership Institute. TLA
focuses on the needs of individual librarians and offers professional liability
insurance customized for Texas librarians, a Placement Center, and a
Jobline service--all designed to help librarians in their professional growth.

TSLAC has eight divisions and programs providing direct customer services, special services to
various client groups, and support services to other programs at the State Library and
throughout state government. Also on-line is a description and history of the
State Library's three locations:
