
They decided he must have a hidden secret; so one day three greedy Puskins followed him to the elm tree. They saw him put the golden key in the lock and heard him say,
"Most wonderful of all the trees,
I'd like to have my luncheon, please."
(He said "luncheon" or "breakfast" or "dinner", according to the time of day.)
The greedy Puskins saw the tree open and out came a delicious lunch all ready to eat. Then the greedy Puskins sneaked away and the little blue Puskin never knew he had been watched.
